172 Cases Of Kidnapping Recorded In Seven Weeks — IGP

No fewer than 172 kidnap cases were recorded across the country in the past seven weeks. The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, said this when he met with Strategic Police Managers in Abuja. At the meeting on Thursday, Egbetokun said 107 victims of kidnap were rescued by the police, while 166 firearms and 41 vehicles were recovered during the seven weeks. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says the interconnect debt dispute between MTN Nigeria and Globacom Limited has been amicably resolved.
