Bus Crashes on Third Mainland Bridge, Two Passengers Plunge Into Lagoon

Two passengers have been reportedly flung into the lagoon in a fatal crash on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on Wednesday.

Platforms Africa reports that the accident, according to the National Emergency Management Agency, involved a LT 18 Seater bus with registration number FKJ 872 YA.

It occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) zonal coordinator, South-West Lagos, said the vehicle , which was on a very high speed swerved off the road and hit bridge rails and caused the two passengers to fling off into the lagoon.

Meanwhile, the Marine Police are said to be in search of the two e victims, an adult male and female.
