“Abdullah, Maryam, Aisha,” how the newly born-babies were named before birth + emotional messages friends, families others penned on the journalist’s “three goals from one shot”
Popular Journalist in Ogun State, Daud Olatunji and his wife, Rukayat, have welcomed a set of triplets.
Platforms Africa reports that the couple who got married in 2011 waited for 13 years before what the new father called “mercy from Allah!”
Confirming the news to Platforms Africa, Olatunji who was overwhelmed with joy, said the triplets were named, even before birth as “Abdullah, Maryam and Aisha.”

“With just one shot, I scored three goals: Mayam, Aisha, and Abdullah. Mother and triplets, all safe. Alhamdulillah. – Daud and Rukayah Olatunji,” he wrote.

“We return all glory to Allah for this set of mercy. Mother and the children are in good condition. They are a set of triplets, and we have named them Abdullah, Maryam and Aisha,” he told Platforms Africa on the phone.
Meanwhile, friends, colleagues and acquaintances have begun to share in the moment of joy with Olatunji.
Team Lead of Platforms Africa, Adeola Yusuf, who expressed joy over the news, declared that there is in a great reward for patience.
“We congratulate the couple over this bundles of joy. May God protect Abdullah, Maryam and Aisha. May He provide for their parents. Truly, there is a great reward for patience,” he said.
Rasak Musbau wrote; “Maa shaa Allahu. Tabaraka llahu ta’ala. Al hamdu lillahi rRobi l A’lameen. Subuhun Qudusun rRobbu l malaaikatu wa ruhi. While rejoicing with Daud Olatunji for the blessing of the triplet, we pray Allah bless all muslims seeking the face of Allah with good children.”
Corroborating Musbau’s view, Akinyemi Aisha said; “Alhamdulillah
Baarakah Allahu feekum. May Allah bless, protect and make them coolness of your eyes. May He bless your halal sustenance to nurture them and may He make them good ambassadors of Islam.
Congratulations my brother. I’m so happy for you. My love to them.”
