About Ejirin
Ejirin is a historical city that houses the first post office in Nigeria and the second port after Apapa. It was such an important trading port with warehouses of PZ, Costain, UAC, and John Holt still standing.
For a long time, it has had the biggest lock-up and open shops that made the town stand out. Thus Ebenezer Obey sang ‘Boko kan o re Ejirin, egbegberun e a lo’ (If a boat refuses to go to Ejirin, thousands will go).
