“When the appointed time comes, there will be no delay or hurry (Holy Qur’an).
“Baba was our father, mentor, leader, teacher (he taught me at Abeokuta and I lived with him and family), and a great scholar of consequential repute.
“He was a literati. A writer. An editor. A radio anchor and presenter. M.K.O Abiola of blessed memory met/saw him at Radio Cairo (Egypt) and wondered what such a brilliant Nigerian Scholar was doing working abroad instead of Nigeria. He hired him and brought him back home to teach at Zulikha Abiola Arabic School, Abeokuta.
“Baba was a great father and family man. A grandfather. A Mufasir. An Imam. Above all, a Muslim.
“Recently, I spoke with him on the phone and I discussed that with my aburo in Cairo Ustaz Adam Mas’ud Abiola. Few days later, Baba also called me back and we spoke like father and son. I didn’t know that would be our last discussion. He was a gem. A rare Gem!
“May Allah forgive his sins, accept his return, grant him aljanat alfirdaus, and console his lovely family, the people of Oyo, Muslim Community Worldwide, and all of us. Amen🙏”
